Purpose Of Lord Rama's Birth!

In the last story, we have read that the demon King Ravana has received the boon from Lord Brahma. As per Lord Brahma blessings, Ravana cannot he killed or defeated by gods, serpents, demons, transgender, wild beasts and heavenly spirits. After receiving this boon Ravana has started to spread his atrocities in all the four loka. All the gods, heaven spirits and other get so much exhausted with Ravana's dictatorship and atrocities. They all came to the Lord Shiva and Brahma but even both these god can't do anything.

All of them were so terrified and  asking for the help to save them from the demon King. Then the Lord Shiva said that in such circumstances it become necessary for the great entities to take birth to destroy the evil entities of the universe. Lord Vishnu then said, “ the reason of Ravana's  destruction is also hidden in this arrogant behaviour". Lord Vishnu further continued that while asking for a boon to remain indestructible Ravana forgot to include humans in it because of egoistic nature. So, now a human being will be the reason for his destruction.

Lord Vishnu said, “ I will take birth on this earth as the son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya, and from this the destruction of Ravana will begin “.

How Did Lord Rama Came On This Earth?

On the other side, it starts from the banks of river Sharayu. On the riverside the mighty kingdom of Kosala stood with its picturesque landscapes, palaces and elegant buildings, gardens & water streams. The kingdom of Kosala was founded by Surya or Sun dynasty. Ayodhya or Oudh – the capital of Kosala was built by the king Ichavaahoo,  the 1st son of king Manoo of the Sun dynasty.

After the demise of the king Raghu of Surya dynasty, King Dashratha sat on the throne of Kosala. King Dashratha was an intelligent, competent & tactful ruler. But the palace was dipped in the sorrow as he was childless. One day when King Dashratha was seated with all of his queens. King Dashratha has 3 wives – elder queen Kausalya, the second queen Sumitra and the youngest queen Kaikeyi.

One day the great sage Guru Vashishta gave the king a piece of advice. He said, “ Oh King Dasharatha kindly send invite to the great sage Rishyashringa and do the Putra Kameshti Yagya, then you will soon be blessed with a child.

As per the guru Vashishta advice the king Dashratha performed the Yagya. From the sacred fire of the Yagya, the guardian angel came off and said – “ Oh king! Your prayers has been accepted, so please ask your wife to take a sip of porridge from this golden bowl. King said to his wife Kausalya that this is a gift from god & you may drink half of the porridge from this bowl and pass the rest to Sumitra and Kaikeyi.

After a few months the entire palace was overjoyed by the birth of children. Queen Kausalya gave birth to the Rama, Kaikeyi gave birth to the Bharatha and Sumitra gave birth to the Lakshmana and  Shatrughna. The entire kingdom of Ayodhya along with the king grandly celebrated the birth of the princes.
